Alamo Chapter welcomes all Purple Heart recipients and their families. The Chapter will be meeting once a month at the VFW on Austin Hwy at 9:30 am on the first Saturday of the each month.

Please visit the Members Page as well as the Ladies Auxiliary Page for our monthly and yearly events.

This Chapter is dedicated to the welfare of our fellow veterans in  support of their war injuries, government benefits, entitlements and general welfare.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart - Alamo Chapter 1836 represents nearly 700 members in and around the San Antonio, Texas area. The Chapter’s members are Purple Heart recipients and have earned the Purple Heart Medal in every campaign in World War II, Korea and Vietnam as well as Panama, Somalia, Khobar Towers, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).  The Military Order of the Purple Heart comes together in fraternity as a brotherhood of combat veterans who have all sacrificed their blood in defense of United States of America.
